JAMESSKENE ADDISON

ADDISON, JAMES SKENE It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that on Sunday, June 11, 2017 Jim Addison passed away peacefully in his sleep. Jim was 74 years old and still doing what he loved 6 days a week. Jim’s life passion for the last 50 years was Addison’s Inc. He worked hard day in and day out to service the needs of his valued customers and built friendships and relationships along the way. In 1965, Jim left Scotland and came to Canada with $900.00 in his pocket. He worked hard to obtain his Master Plumbing and Heating License and opened his own business shortly thereafter. With decades of experience in the trade, he was able to assist his customers with any plumbing or heating requirements. As you probably well know, Jim also liked to collect a thing or two. Jim’s incredible eye for the weird and wonderful led to Addison’s Inc. acquiring one of the finest collections of heating and plumbing antiques, as well as a vast array of rental props for the TV and film industry, in all of Canada. Jim was the loving father of four daughters; Teresa Addison, Pamela Anderson, Cora Addison and Becky Addison and a grandfather to four grandsons and one granddaughter. He will be dearly missed. At this time, Scott Russell, Jim’s right hand man, will continue running Addison’s Inc. as seamlessly as possible. www.addisonsinc.ca A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at the Maple Leaf Tavern, 955 Gerrard St. East, July 9th from 1:00-6:00 pm.
