CURRIE, Jean (nee Metcalfe) Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Trillium Health Centre, on June 25, 2017. Devoted mother of Andrea (Tony) and Michael (Shari). Cherished Nana of Gabriel and Nicholas. Dear sister of Brian (Barbara), their children and grandchildren. Beloved friend of the late Ingrid Moles. As per Jean’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1535 South Gateway Rd., Mississauga (Dixie Rd., 2 lights south of Eglinton Ave., 905-602-1580), on Friday June 30, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Jean was well known for her love of gardening and baking. She adored animals and showed much love and care to the strays and injured. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society would be much appreciated.
