JEAN PIERRE BESSIN In his 62nd year, after an effortful and hopeful battle with cancer, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 with the spirit and presence of his loving, attentive children and family. Dad to Sara (Sebastien), Laura (Billy), Brad (Allyson), Alex and Andrew (Caitt); Grandpa to Kate, Louis, Marley and Lyla; John “Johnny” to his siblings Micheline (Mike), Cindy (Bob), Kathy, Colette, Maryann (Peter) and Paul (Andrew). Uncle John to 9 nieces and nephews and Great- Uncle John to 7 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Eugenie C. Bessin and Jean Pierre Bessin Sr. He strived to live with a generous, loving heart. He imbued his passion for the outdoors and a deep appreciation and respect for nature and always enjoyed casting a fishing line in one of the many lakes and waterways in the Belleville, Prince Edward County region that became home for him and he was so fond of. John enjoyed laughter that could come with the delivery of a good joke, sharing a story or two, along with good times with friends. He will be greatly missed by those who love him and were loved by him. A private family gathering will be held and donations to www.hospice-quinte.ca in lieu of flowers would be welcomed.
