Jill Reeve (née Jitka Bouček) died peacefully at home on July 31, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer a few days short of her 72nd birthday. She will be deeply missed by Ted, her husband of nearly 50 years and by their children Thomas (Erline), Peter (Lily) and Julia (Todd) and by her five grandchildren Mia, Nolan, Kathleen, Meghan and Valerie. She will also be missed by her brother Jan Bouček (Françoise) and nieces Emily Wheeler (Tim) and Louise Bouček (Oli).
Jill lived a full and happy life and will be remembered as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Writer, Music Lover, Book Lover, Nature Lover, Dog Lover and Friend to many. She was an active participant in many community and church programs.
A Concert Service Celebrating the Life of Jill Reeve will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Donway Covenant United Church at 230 the Donway West, Toronto, Ontario M3B 2V8. A Reception will follow in the church auditorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to H.A.V.E. (one of Jill’s favourite charities) or a charity of your choice. H.A.V.E. (Help A Village Effort) is a Haliburton, Ontario based, minimal overhead, registered charity which provides fresh, safe drinking water mostly via bore (artesian) wells in rural India.
