Joan Valetta Pearl ABBOTT

October 9, 1933 – August 3, 2016
With her children by her side, Joan passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital. She suffered a massive stroke six days after the passing of her husband of 61 years, Gideon (July 22, 2016). Both are deeply missed by their children Laura and Wayne (Jocelyne) and grandchildren Keon and Ashlyn. Joan leaves her brother Mark and sister Nellie, both residing in Newfoundland and she was predeceased by her siblings Willie, George, John, Edna, Charlie and Frank. The Service of Committal for Joan and Gideon will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto.
