JOHN GRIER After a valiant struggle, at only 53, John passed away on November 4, 2016, surrounded by his adoring daughter, Alanna, dear son, Patrick and his beloved wife of 26 years, Denise Newman. John was a proud Dad of Daniel, of White Rock, BC, a most loved brother of Pauline Hammerstrom (William) of Newcastle and Margie Grier (David Fisher) of Oakville. Admired by many nieces and nephews, John will be sorely missed by everyone who has ever known him. A true gentleman with the largest heart for loving his family and friends, John was a friend to the end, a skilled carpenter and a gifted tradesman, who was always willing to help anyone in need. Predeceased by his parents of Mississauga, Emmet and Geraldine Grier. The family offers sincere thanks to the many doctors, nurses and PSWs who helped John throughout his fight for life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Huntsville are welcomed. Memorial service at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville, on Saturday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m., visitation one hour prior and light reception to follow.
