JOHNHOOPER

JOHN HOOPER John died peacefully on August 11, 2016 at the age of 61. He drew his last breath at Princess Margaret Hospital under the same caring attention of the staff that supported him through his 6-year battle with cancer. And battle he did. After exhausting all traditional forms of treatment, John participated in several trials wanting to extend his life and contribute to cancer research. John was born in Darlington, UK on February 27, 1955 and at the age of 5 years moved with his family to Weston, Ontario. His interests and education led him to a career in hospitality. John’s passion as an armchair coach for all sports was a source of endless amusement to his family and friends. Heartbroken at his passing are his loving wife Jill; cherished sisters Beverley, Angela and Maureen and families; and his extended family of beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. At John’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. John’s life will be celebrated with a private memorial. The family would appreciate you honouring John’s memory with a donation to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
