RITCHIE, John (“Jack”) —
Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2017 at Ian Anderson House in Oakville. He is mourned by his loving wife Dorothy, brother Jim, children John and his wife Sylvie, Cindy and her husband Brian, Andrea and her partner Joey, Gregory and his wife Diona, and Robert and his wife Maria Cristina, nephew Paul, grandchildren Harvey, Nicole, Tyler, Jean-David, Caroline, William, Chelsea and Layla and great-granddaughter Isabel. A former Montreal businessman who later joined the public service in the field of international development, he was a longtime member of PROBUS, the Oakville Garden Club and St. Jude’s Anglican Church in Oakville, as well as an avid sailor, gardener and traveller. His kindness, commitment to working on behalf of those less fortunate and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Memorial service will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville, on Saturday, March 11th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, Ian Anderson House, the Canadian Cancer Society or Parkinson Canada.
