KLEIN, John – John passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home in his 82nd year. Greatly missed by his beloved wife Helga (nee Wachsmann) of 55 years. Loving father to Susan and Sandra and son-in-law Gord. Proud and devoted Opa to John and Ryan. Brother to Maria (Georg), Kathi (Hans) and Susan. Brother-in-law to Maria (Friedel). Predeceased by his parents John Klein Sr. and Susanna Klein (nee Motz). Born August 12, 1935 in Ober- Eidisch, Romania, he immigrated to Canada in 1952 starting his work in home construction. He worked for 42 years as an Elevator Mechanic and then Supervisor in the downtown core with Turnbull/ Dover/ThyssenKrupp, retiring in 2000. Friends may visit at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, on Wednesday, November 9th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, November 10th from 1 p.m. until service time. A service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Private interment in Pine Hills Cemetery, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
