COX JR., John William March 22, 1928, London, England. Passed away after a brief illness at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on October 9, 2017 in his 90th year. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise Cox (nee King), son Steven (Alexandra) and daughter Michele (David). Grandfather to Brittany, Chelsey and Johnathan. Upon arriving to Canada in 1952 as a Master Tailor, John worked many different jobs. He discovered his natural sales ability and dedicated 45 years to I.S.H., Industrial Supply House. John was a long term I.O.F. Forester of Court Futura 808, achieving the distinction of P.C.R, Past Chief Ranger. In his retirement, he volunteered with Southlake Regional Health Centre, alongside his wife. John loved to entertain seniors in retirement/nursing homes with his rendition of Al Jolson and Frank Sinatra shows. John will be best remembered for his love of Glen Miller and the big band era. A visitation will take place at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. A reception will be held following the service at Taylor Funeral Home.
