GREEN, John William In his 84th year, John William Green passed away on July 31, 2017, peacefully with his wife Ann of 57 years and family by his side. Proud father of Stephen (deceased) (Denise), David (Susan) and Richard (Angela), grandfather of Corrine (Matt), Elizabeth (Sam), Christopher, Russell and Jennifer, great grandad of Liam and Audrey and brother of Elizabeth Anne and her husband Bev Daily. Fondly remembered by his relatives in Wales and England. John was born in Seaford, Sussex, England on July 9, 1934. After a brief time in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, John joined Westinghouse Break and Signal Company in Chippenham. Shortly after moving to Calne, he met his one and only girlfriend Ann who he married in 1960. Three boys followed. In 1972, the family immigrated to Bolton, Ontario for a “three year” posting to set up the North American office. Bolton was to be their home for the next 45 years. John believed in being of service to his community. He was a faithful member of the Bolton United Church, a Past President of the Rotary Club of Bolton, volunteer with Meals on Wheels, United Way, Albion Bolton Agricultural Society and Hydro Commissioner with Caledon Hydro. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton, 905-857-2213, Friday morning, August 4 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.
