Passed away at Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Hospital surrounded by his family on September 7th, 2016, at the age of 83. Predeceased by his loving wife Annie (2006). Loving father of Elizabeth and her husband Michael, Doris and her husband Mario, and Tessie and her husband Ted. Cherished Nannu of Katrina, Elissa, Richard (Monica), Mark (Christine), Steven (Lisa), Jason (Laura), Patricia (Michael). Great Nannu of Eric, Mathew, Alexandra, Natalie, Luca and Sophie. Joseph will be missed by siblings Freddie and his wife of England and Agnes of Malta. He his predeceased by his parents and by his many siblings including Mother Superior Lucia Aquilina. Joseph will be forever remembered as a diehard Leafs fan, a handyman and a dedicated family man. He always had a positive outlook on life and will be missed by all who were touched by this kind and gentle person. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, September 9th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby) on Saturday, September 10th, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations will be gratefully accepted for Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
