SWEET, Joseph David “Joe” Age 78, of East Uniacke, Nova Scotia, formerly from Scarborough, ON, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Ivy Meadows Home, Beaver Bank, NS. Born on December 11, 1938, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian May Sweet. Joe was a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, retiring after many years working with Ontario Hydro. Joe is survived by his son, Adam of Belleville, ON; step-daughter, Kim Willins, Windsor, NS; step-grandsons, Joe and Arthur Cull; step-great-granddaughter, Ivy Mae Cull; companion, Dona Nunn; brother, Robert “Bob” and sisters, Barbara and Betty, all in Ontario. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 in Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King St., PO Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. The Rev. Garnet Parker is officiating, followed by a reception. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
