Joseph Szucs, born in Hungary on March 16, 1925, passed away peacefully November 8, 2016 lovingly surrounded by family. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Anita, his three children Louis, Rosemary (Bryon), and Annett, as well as his four grandchildren Adam, Bethany, Rochelle and Krystien. He is survived by siblings, Rosalia and Elizabeth, and predeceased by siblings Anna, Maria, Frank, Louis and Steven. Joseph lived a full and adventurous life. He is remembered most for his storytelling, sense of humour, and gracious hospitality, enjoying nothing more than sharing good food and lively conversation with family and friends. His time, when not doting on his grandchildren, was spent in his garden planting, pruning or harvesting the fruits of his labour. He will remain always in our hearts, and forever loved. A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora). Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Parish (15347 Yonge Street, Aurora) followed by Interment at Aurora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are asked to make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
