CARTWRIGHT, Joyce Mary (nee Simpson) Born January 10, 1923 and died June 6, 2017. Joyce died peacefully at The Meadows Long Term Care, Ancaster on June 6 at the age of 94. Joyce was the wife of Albert Cartwright (deceased November 3, 2006) and the mother of Nancy (Denis) LaPointe, Carolynne Locke (Ralph Ferguson), Marilyn Locke, Edith Hilts (Doug), Nelson (Karen) Cartwright and David (Patricia) Cartwright. She was the grandmother to Dana, Jaime, Elizabeth, Donna, Craig, Barbara, Cheryl, Sheri and Michael and she was a great-grand- mother to many more. Joyce served in the RCAF as a corporal in the Second World War from 1942 to 1946. She was a loving and well-loved person, active throughout her life spending time with family and enjoying activities of swimming, dancing, curling, golf, bridge and travel, all enjoyed with her husband Al. A special thank you to the staff at The Meadows for their compassionate care in her final years. Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, June 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. at DODSWORTH & BROWN, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster.
