SHERDIAN, Joy Elaine (Shackleton, Duncan) Joy was born December 28, 1926 in South Euclid, Ohio and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Port Hope, Ontario. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Gertrude Shackleton, and also predeceased by her sister Lillian Dales (the late Fred) and her brother Bill. Joy and her loving husband Norman Duncan (deceased 1967) had 5 children; Elaine (Gilles), Rick (Jane), Gaye, Susan (Peter) and Scott (Lori). Joy was also predeceased by her loving husband Fred Sheridan (deceased 2007). This made Joy the step-mother of Pat, Kathy (Leigh), Ginnie (Larry) and Randy (Jim). Loved grandmother and great-grandmother of 28. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Waterdown Legion, 79 Hamilton Rd. N., Waterdown, Ontario on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1 – 4 p.m. with remembrances at 2 p.m. In memory of Joy, donations may be made to the Hope Street Terrace Nursing Home, 30 Hope St. S., Port Hope, Ontario and would be appreciated by the family.
