It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved Joze on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Anna for nearly 50 years as well as devoted father of Robert (Mary), Joseph and Mary. Proud Stariata (grandfather) of Robert, Karolina and Mikayla. Survived by his sister Anica (the late Viktor) and his brother Peter (Fran) and predeceased by his sister Marija. Much loved stric (uncle) to Kathy, Peter and Kristina as well as many nieces and nephews in Slovenia. Resting at the RIDLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (at 14th St., between Islington and Kipling Ave., 416-259-3705) on Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all his caregivers including the compassionate nurses and personal support workers at Saint Elizabeth Health Care.
