A Woman of Grace and Dignity
June James of Toronto, ON, died peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Born June Anne Suddaby on June 16, 1934 in Brantford, ON she was 82. While working at Household Finance in 1956 she met the love of her life, William (Bill) James. They married March 2, 1957 and had three children, Billy in 1958 (died 1962), Gregory in 1962 and Carolyn in 1965. June was a dedicated community volunteer including St. Margaret’s in the Pines church, Wm G Miller PS, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Arts Scarborough. She was a kind-hearted social person who loved her family, friends and community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. June is survived by Greg James, his wife Sandra, Carolyn James and her husband Oliver Schoenborn. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Alexander, Kyle, Madeleine, Jeremy, her brother Bill Suddaby and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear husband Bill and siblings Norma and Raymond. Special thanks to Dr. Trojanowski and the staff at Orchard Villa and friends Joy, Kathy, Martha and Delcita for their care and kindness over the past few years. A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret in-the-Pines Church, 4130 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough, ON on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. followed by light refreshments in the church hall. Donations in June’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
