MARINI, Kathryn Ann (Kay) —
Passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born in Toronto on October 4, 1931 to the late Alfred and Marguerite Birtles (nee Wilton). Celebrated 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband Guido Marini on June 9th. Much loved mother of Joe (Anita Adamek), Dick (Maria), Nancy and Virginia. Wonderful Gran to Michael, Sara (Adrian O’Sullivan), Elizabeth, Charles (Lauren Finlay), Erin, Christopher (Emily Pascoe), Kate, Diane and Lydia. Survived by her brother Michael (Jane) and a multitude of relatives. Predeceased by her brother John and his wife (Eileen). Kay lived a wonderfully joyous life, never permitting health challenges to prevail over her optimism and innate sense of delight. A lifelong member of CWL, she will be remembered by countless friends as an extraordinary homemaker, hostess, bridge player, solver of crossword puzzles, artist, lawn bowler, confidante and traveller.
