HORRELL, Kenneth William Retired employee of Loblaws, Assistant to the President of National Grocers, after a long and wonderful life, passed away at Orillia on June 20, 2017. He was predeceased by his first wife Joan of 51 years. They shared their life with 5 children and 10 grandchildren. He was also blessed with his second wife Bernice Courtney of Warminster, her two children and their families including 5 grandchildren who shared their love and accepted him into their family circle. Ken will be missed by dear friends Mrs. Edith Smith of Rexdale, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dee of Wasaga Beach, his curling friends of Orillia and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bochna of Barrie. The family would like to thank Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, especially the staff on Harvey 2 for their care and devotion to all its patients, Dr. Wendy McComb and recently Dr. Ramy Kamal and staff for their kindness and for keeping this difficult patient in good health over the years. Lastly, to our friends and neighbours for their cards, prayers and phone calls, thank you. Ken’s final message: “I came into this world with nothing, lived life to the fullest every day, raising Hell and making people laugh but it is time for me to be quiet and go and meet my maker in peace.” At Ken’s request, there will be no service and he will be cremated and interred with his 1st wife Joan and her family at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Rexdale.
