LLOYD GEORGE “SAM” BURTON Died peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home with his loving wife at his side at the age of 84. Lloyd of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Beverley for 62 years. Loving father of Nancy (Richard West) and Stephen (Laura Carter). Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Glenn Kawai), Jennifer West (Chris Grenier) and Jeremy Burton and to great- grandchildren Ted and Cecilia Kawai. Dear brother of Willa Byers, Gloria Bissell, Robert Burton (Elaine), the late Augustus Burton and the late Margaret Paddle. Lloyd will also be missed by Christine Burton, his many nieces and nephews, his Probus colleagues, the guys at the coffee shop and his many friends and neighbours. Lloyd was a kind and caring man who made friends easily with his wit and dry humour. He had a penchant for standard bred horseracing, he was the Past President of the Men’s Probus and gave of his time and talents to many causes. First and foremost, he was dedicated to his family, especially Beverley. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach, on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 12 noon.
