TREACY, Lorenzo “Larry” Jerome With his family by his side, Larry passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst at the age of 92. Larry was the loving husband of Norma (nee Hawthorne) of 54 years and cherished father of Anne, Matthew (Victoria), Susan (Jon) and Caroline (Tytus). He was the devoted grandfather of Stuart, Mary, Alicja and Alexander and special uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents Julia and Jerome Treacy, brother John Joseph “Jack” (Alice), sister Joan Drew (John) and brothers Timothy (Dinah) and Terrence “Terry” (Regis). He will be sadly missed by Terry’s second wife Shirley, his sister-in-law Carole, her husband Walter Bacso and many friends. Larry’s kind heart and wise words will be missed by his entire family. Larry was a dedicated employee of the Manufacturers Life Insurance Company for over 40 years where he established lasting friendships. Larry and his family were faithful members of Annunciation of Our Lady Parish in Don Mills for over 30 years. Upon retirement, Larry and Norma became active members of the St. Paul’s Parish community in Gravenhurst. The family will receive friends at Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, 215 Bay St., Gravenhurst, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 235 John St., Gravenhurst, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Paul’s Parish, 231 Hotchkiss St., Gravenhurst, Ontario P1P 1J1, or a donation to a charity that supports the needy in your community would be appreciated.
