NOVAK, Lorne Harold —

August 5, 1939 to August 13, 2016

After an amazingly heroic fight, Lorne, a.k.a. “Happy Harold the singing waiter”, slipped peacefully from our lives at the Toronto East General Hospital.

Lorne was predeceased by his mother Norma and sisters Doreen and Linda (Knight). Also, 2 wonderful women, Agnes (Lanning) and Dody (Frobel), the two loves of his life. Lorne is survived by big sister Joyce (Hulcoop), children Donna (Robert), Kim, Ronnie, Shane (Christine), 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.

His zest for life, storytelling (B.S. Ability), and sense of humour will leave a huge void for his fantastic friends and loving family to fill. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service, as Dad has graciously donated his body to science in the hopes that his illness may help find a cure to save others. We wish him well on his journey through university, as he always promised Grandma he would make it!

A kick-ass party is planned for August 19th in his honour.

“Our fighter has left the ring, but he will forever be our champion, our hero, our Dad.”
