ROQUE, Maria Do Rosario It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Maria, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Jose for 42 years. Loving mother of Gary Roque and his wife Almerinda and Jenny Roque Juliao and her husband Steven. Cherished vavó of Marissa Bianca Roque and Lucas Roque Juliao. Adored sister of Mario Pereira and his wife Gilberta and Assunção De Sousa and her husband Eduardo. Predeceased by her parents Mariano Pereira and Maria da Gloria de Braga. Maria will be missed by her niece and nephews and many friends. A special thank you to Dr. Kevin Zbuk and Dr. Marissa Slaven for all their efforts in treating Maria. Thank you also to CCAC staff especially, Theresa Hastings for all their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Mary’s Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
