MARIAN ELIZABETH THOMPSON (WARRELL) Marian Warrell was born in Cochrane, Ontario on October 27, 1930. She died in Toronto on August 18, 2016. A graduate (1952) of Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, London, Ontario, she married Archibald Stewart Thompson of London on June 20, 1953 in Cochrane. In the years following, they lived in London, ON, Montclair, NJ, Beaconsfield, QC and Toronto. Predeceased by sisters Gertrude and Helen, brothers Howard, Donald and William. She is survived by her brother John Warrell of Ohio. Marian will be greatly missed by daughter Polly; son David and his wife Marcia and their children Caitlin and her husband Robin, Robert and John and his partner Allison; daughter Rebecca and Rebecca’s children Jacob, Thoby, Isaac and Pearl; and son William and his wife Josée and their children Alistair and Philippe. Marian had been in failing health for several years. She died in Sunnybrook Hospital while Stewart was with her. He had just whispered to her and held her beautiful face. Marian is missed deeply by her grieving family and by many who knew and loved her. As she had requested, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family gathering will be held.
