GIAMMARIA, Mario It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mario at St. Joseph’s Hospital on March 6, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Mafalda for 57 years. Loving father of Tony and the late Michael. Dear brother of Primo (Maria), the late Frank (the late Pina), Tony, the late Maria (the late Giovanni), Giovanni (Serena) and Anna (Antonio). Mario will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends in Hamilton, Montreal and Italy. He was a retired employee of Dofasco with 26 years of dedicated service. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 1883 King Street East, on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in Mario’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
