KANE, Mary Isabel – April 13, 1924 – August 7, 2016 Mary is survived by her sister Pauline (Robert) Mills and was predeceased by her parents Francis Kane and Pauline Compton Kane; siblings Howard (Addie), Maurice (Beth), Colin (Gwen and Peggie), Alan (Fran), Greg (Gloria and Donna), Margaret (Winn) Jeffery and Brian (Shirley). Most of Mary’s nursing career was spent at Sunnybrook Hospital, first caring for veterans, followed by an integral role in the transition to a full service hospital. Mary will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as Snake Island fellow cottagers. Respecting Mary’s wishes, private funeral arrangements have been made.
