Erika MAYO (Schroeder)
MAYO, Erika (Schroeder) Comfortably at her home, with family by her side, Erika peacefully passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, in her 83rd year. She leaves behind her loving husband of 32 years Harry Mayo, her children Peter (Denise) Schroeder, David Schroeder, Margaret Schroeder (Ron) and Richard (Wanda) Mayo. Adoring grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Erika will also be missed by her family in Germany. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the care givers who supported Erika through this difficult time, your efforts and compassion did not go unnoticed. The family would also like to thank the volunteer fire department of Freelton, the Hamilton night shift Police Officers and Paramedics for responding in our time of need. Your outstanding compassion and caring for the family at a difficult time was greatly appreciated. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial will be held at the Dundas Kingdom Hall on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erika’s Memory may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Center.
