Debrah Jean McGRATH
McGRATH, Debrah Jean It is with extremely heavy hearts, and tremendous sadness, that our family announces the sudden passing of our young, vibrant, radiantly beautiful Debrah Jean McGrath, as the result of a tragic and horrific accident, at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Affectionately known as “Deb” to all who knew and loved her, also occasionally, jokingly and fondly as “Holly”, aka “Hollywood”, “Miss Betty Rubble” aka “Miserable”, by her pokingly fun husband Al. Deb was born one year to the very same day of her older brother. She was born and welcomed first daughter to John and Norma McGrath on May 9, 1960. Longtime kindred soul, lover and best friend to James Allan Robson, doting daughter-in-law to James (predeceased) and Margaret Robson and extensive and extended family on this and on “the other side of the pond”. Cherished, adored, admired and the spark of life to devastated daughters Cherie Faith McGrath Seguin and Aimee Lynn McGrath. Proud grandmother, whose memory will be forever carried, treasured and honoured by Nikkia Marie Campbell, Keenan Thomas James Pullin, Hayden Earnest Jack Pullin. Always advice giving, encouraging, special and supportive sister to eldest brother Jimmy, middle sister Linda, youngest sister Patty, and forever mothering, mentoring, big sister to the baby of the group, brother John. The siblings shared an unbreakable, undeniable, unwavering bond. Their connection always remained deep and everlasting, even during times when life seemed to cause separation for the group. The ties that bound them, wound tightly. Each with assurance of love, guidance, protection and strength. Always the fun, hip, no rules, not ever applying “Auntie” Deb is now holding the hand of predeceased nephew Ryan. Always proud to brag about nephew Joey, she also was joyful to share her love of the Green Bay Packers with fellow fan, nephew Andy. Each nephew, with children of their own, Deb was thrilled also as a Great-Aunt. Mom leaves behind her other two girls; fur babies, German Shepherds Misty and Kita. She loved to read when not watching crime stories or Coronation Street, she loved to cook, and had learned most of her culinary skills from T.V. personality Rachel Ray. She loved music and art, but most of all, she simply loved to love. We wish to also express our extreme thankfulness, gratefulness and love to a dear family friend who was nothing less than a rock – much needed at this time of sorrow. Thank you, thank you, thank you and love for you as well, Andy and Erin Ferreira. We would like to invite you to celebrate Mom’s life on Sunday, July 31st from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., 555 Bay Street North, Main Floor at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club. If so desired, flowers and arrangements may be received by the club on the day of. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be offered by family. Deb touched many lives, made many friends, and we all have stories, memories and laughters to share. We look forward to seeing you and yours, big and small, come one, come all.
