MELVIN HARRY MILLS Passed away peacefully at home in Oakville with his family by his side on July 9, 2016 at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Greaves) with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Loving father of Shari Kennedy, Debra Jones (Keith), Kris Mills (Rebecca) and Melanie McKenzie. Predeceased by his son Kenneth Mills (1963). Treasured Papa of Tyler, Jeremy, Jesse, Sydney, Brooklyn, Brendan, Jordan, Josh and Ryley. Brother of Larry (Sharon), Lorne (Jackie), Kaye (late Ron), George (Becky) and Brian (Peggy). Brother-in-law of Lydia Rounding (Tom), Ruth Ann Brown (Bill) and the late Jean Bigley (Bill). Survived by many loved nieces and nephews. Melvin was a Bishop in the Church of Christ. He had a very successful career across the globe in software development. Cremation has taken place. On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to gather at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378), 128 Talbot St. N., Essex, Ontario, starting at 10 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Melvin will be laid to rest with his son Kenneth at North Ridge Cemetery.
