GOZDZIALSKI (BIRZVILKIS), Meta Peacefully passed away at Scarborough General on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Walter Gozdzialski and cherished mother to Irene Innocent (Ken) and Richard Gozdzialski (Cindy). She has been reunited with her parents Maria (Oma) and George (Opa), sister Marta, brothers George and Kurt. Survived by sister Trudy (Austria) and sister-in-law Hilda. A loving grandmother to Corey who often kept her company, Nicholas, Christopher and Lea. Considered the Fun aunt by Susie (Glenn), Michie (Kevin), Shawn, Donna and Ann (Wayne). Her energy, sense of humour and determination will be greatly missed. A Special thank you to Dr. Abdul and the 6th floor nurses and staff at Scarborough General for the exceptional care, patience and unique flexibility you showed our mother in the last 3 months and a big thank you to Eugenia (PSW) for the 13 years of attention and comfort you gave mom at home. Friends and family may be received at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough, 416-267-4656, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel, Wednesday, September 13th at 11 a.m., Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.
