MIKE CHOMA It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mike Choma on July 16, 2016 after a long ferocious fight with cancer. Mike was a pioneer in Special Education with the Toronto Board of Education and a passionate bridge player in which he achieved the rank of Grand Life Master. An avid outdoorsman, Mike cherished his time in Temagami, introducing its pleasures to his beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Gregory. Mike was born in Manitoba and lived the majority of his life in Toronto and retired to Simcoe, Ontario where he became an active member of the community. Mike was predeceased by his parents Anna and Leon, his beloved sister Olesia and his second wife Barb. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Mary (Joe Czerwinski), Julie (George Morrison), Morris (Denise) and Leona (the late Walter Nakoneshny). Mike leaves behind his first wife and mother of his children Noreen Moran. Loving father to Michael, Laura and Michele, father-in-law to Jeff Ryckman, Greg Sutter and Anita Bartolini and cherished grandfather to Ethan Ryckman and Gregory Choma-Sutter. Mike also leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. We wish to extend our warmest thanks to Dr. Berry at Sunnybrook Hospital and Dr. Wynveen of Norfolk General Hospital for their devoted care. Friends are invited call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe, on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Service will be held at TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH, 80 Colborne St., S., Simcoe, on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Sherwood officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. Memorial donations to the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital would be appreciated
