MillieFELDMAN

FELDMAN, Millie FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS Born Mildred Catherine Feldman August 9, 1935 to Ardora and Robert Plowden in Greensboro, North Carolina. Also loved by her maternal grandparents Ava Miller Tonkins and Levi Tonkins and many aunts and cousins. Millie graduated from Bennett College and moved to New York where she worked with the Jewish Child Care Association for many years. After getting her MSW, she moved to Toronto to be with her husband, Don. Millie was a School Social Worker with the Toronto School Board for 28 years, where she was highly valued and respected and made many lifelong friends. In fact, Millie easily made friends with whoever she lived near or wherever she was. Millie was the loved parent of Jason and Teresa and the loving grandma of Raven and Sierra. She and Don were married 45 years. We will miss her terribly, but are relieved that her suffering is over. It was Millie’s wish to be cremated and her ashes spread in the garden at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. It is appropriate as Millie loved nature. She also was a lover of all the arts, especially music. She was listening to music when her big, strong heart finally stopped beating. Friends who wish to help celebrate the life of Millie Feldman may gather together at the Mt. Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate), on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 between 1 and 3 p.m. Those wishing to honour Millie’s memory may do so by a donation to the Dotsa Bitove Wellness Academy or a charity of your choosing.
