NORMA MAIN (nee SCHEER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Joy Main on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at The Village of Taunton Mills with her family by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack (Captain) and survived by her five children David (Amy), Greg (Elizabeth), Pamela, Linda and Douglas (Shelley); grandchildren Shannon (JP), Jeffrey, Charlene, Tyler and Jennifer; loving sister Carol O’Brien and nieces and nephews. During her 91 years of life, Norma cherished spending time with her loving family, summers at the Lake and had a passion for music. Norma made many wonderful friends over the past 50 years through the North York Newcomers Association and thoroughly enjoyed time spent together at their many social gatherings. Family and friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home “Scarborough Chapel”, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (Sheppard and Warden) Scarborough, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st. The Funeral Service will be held in the Highland Funeral Chapel (same address) on Thursday, September 1st at 11:30 a.m. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
