Rita-AnnePIQUET

PIQUET, Rita-Anne An accomplished artist, an inspiring teacher, a woman of style and grace, with a flair for fashion and colour. All reflect so clearly our dear Rita-Anne (Piquet) who was taken from us far too soon on August 26, 2017. Her warmth, love, wit, sense of humour and compassionate nature will be forever cherished by her inseparable partner of 26 years, Gill (Alkin), as well as her close friends and mentors who shared so many special moments together. Despite the unpredictable nature of her illness over the past 4 years, Rita-Anne’s steadfast courage and caring for those around her typified her selfless nature. She was an extraordinarily talented fine artist. Her work featured in galleries and private collections. Rita-Anne’s love of arts and culture, travel, reading, fashion and the great outdoors was a testament to her insatiable passion for life. She was predeceased by her parents Claire and Bernard Piquet and her 2 aunts, Alice and Rita Plante. A Celebration of Rita-Anne’s Life will be held at TRINITY COLLEGE CHAPEL, 6 Hoskin Ave., on Friday September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at MT. HOPE CEMETERY, 305 Erskine Ave., Toronto. www.rosar-morrison.com
