Robert Guy BAKER

Peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre, on October 12, 2016, Robert Guy Baker (Bob) passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his family. Bob was in his 100th year. His marriage to Libbie was one of great happiness. Their love was a source of strength to our blended family which has been a truly loving experience for all. Dad will be greatly missed by his daughters Lisa (Conrad) and Lianne (Larry) and his sons Scott and Guy (Linda). Grandchildren Alida (Trevor), Jack (Heather) and Ian will miss their “Wonder Bob”. Great-grandchildren Declan, Callum, Adelaide and Benjamin are also saddened by his passing. After a distinguished 40-year career with the Robert Simpson Co., interrupted by 5 years in the RCN during WWII, Bob worked tirelessly for the Ontario Friends of Schizophrenics and related organizations for another 10 years. Bob was a member at the Lambton Golf & Country Club for 72 years. Friendships made there have lasted a lifetime. The family extends its sincere thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their excellent care. An interment with follow up reception will be held at a time to be announced. If desired, donations to the Ontario Friends of Schizophrenics or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
