HAMILTON, Robert C. —
Bob left us at sunset on July 23, 2016 in his 86th year. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survived by his wife, Jan, his sons, Les (Linda) and Keith (Sue), his grandchildren, Tristan, Laura (Drake), and Elizabeth, his great-granddaughter, Lilyann, and his sisters, Frances (Moose), Eleanor (Joe), and Audrey (Roger). Bob was a Royal Canadian Regiment Veteran of the Korean war. Following the war, he served in the RCAF in Summerside, Germany, Egypt and Trenton. In later years, he worked for Sears, Vancouver General Hospital, and the Ontario Fire Marshal. Visitation will be held at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 10 – 11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow at the nearby Whitby Legion Branch 112, 117 Byron Street South. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Condolences may be expressed online at
