SALVATORE (SAM) VELLA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sam after a courageous fight with cancer, on Monday, April 24, 2017, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Laura and devoted doting father to Alexandra and dear son-in-law to Pauline Lupo, dear brother of Connie Vella- Mackay and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Corradina and Emanuele Vella. Sam will be dearly missed by his many friends and business associates at Re/max Rouge River to whom he had fierce loyalty. Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. North (Markham Rd.), Markham, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Hwy. 7, Markham, on Thursday at 12 noon. Entombment at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Sunnybrook Health Sciences ICU as a gesture of thanks for their extraordinary care and compassion. Sam would want you to live your lives to the fullest with joy.
