SALVO, (Lina) Calogera (nee Sardo-Viscugia) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother Lina at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Paolo for 47 years. Cherished mother of Sam (Tracey) Salvo and John (Lori) Salvo. Cherished Nonna of Jack and Sophia. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Lina (the late Giovanni) Sardo-Viscuglia, the late Maria (Nicolo) Pirrera of Hamilton and Rosa (the late Antonio) Sardo-Viscuglia, Salvatore (Angela) Sardo-Viscuglia, and the late Carmela Sardo-Viscuglia of Italy. Dear sister-in-law of the late Carmelina Lombardo, Carmela and the late Vincent Salvo, Salvatore (Adele) Salvo, Carmen (Rosemary) Salvo, Joe (Daphne) Salvo. Loving daughter of the late Salvatore and Antonina Sardo-Viscugia and daughter-in-law of the late Salvatore and Nicoletta Salvo. Lina will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the EMS and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their tireless effort, care and support. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Church on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In kindness, donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
