SAMONTE, Amalia Passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 59. Loved daughter of Roque Samonte (the late Asuncion). Loved mother of Phillip Nuñez. Cherished sister of Enrique (Virginia), Jaime and Allan (Jo Ann). Best friend and a “sister” of Imelda Repollo. Loved girlfriend of Bill Fitzpatrick who has stood by her side through everything. Loved and missed also by her friends in Hamilton and family, relatives and friends back home in the Philippines. Amalia was a dedicated employee of St. Peter’s Long Term Care and of The Village of Wentworth Heights. Amalia belonged to the Ato-Ato Club and Frendz at D’Link. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. where Funeral Service will follow that evening at 7:00 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date back home in the Philippines.
