SHEILA MAUREEN CONKEY November 1, 1957 – May 12, 2017 Sheila Maureen Conkey, dearly beloved, creative and generous daughter of the late Rev. Frank and Agnes Mae Conkey. Sheila had amazing spiritual vitality. She never failed, in any circumstances, to acknowledge the saving grace of God in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her first resolve in becoming aware of any challenge, was to pray. Sheila loved her family and friends, Aldon School for 16 years, the workshop, ARC Industries for 24 years, camping with Christian Horizons for many years, her cat, Buffy, Windsor House, the town of Ajax for 55 years, neighbouring, travelling, holidays, photography and worship, private, family and public. She was a proud Presbyterian. Sheila is remembered happily by many uncles, aunts and cousins in Canada and in Northern Ireland. Also, by Sarah, Penny and Mario and their kind directors in Windsor House. Her close friendship since birth with the Rev. Jim and Mrs. Ann McClure and their family has been precious and of benefit to her. A Celebration of Sheila’s faith will be held at ST. ANDREW’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (35 Church St. N., Ajax), on Tuesday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m., with visitation just prior, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sheila will be laid to rest with her parents privately.
