SHERMAN MICHAEL PERDUE Passed away peacefully in his 91st year, Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice, surrounded by loving family. Sherman grew up near Lindsay, Ontario before moving to Toronto as a teenager and worked at Lennox Industries for 30 years before retiring in 1987. Sherman was predeceased by his eight brothers, his first wife Carmel and is survived by his loving wife Jean, daughter Katherine Anne, sons Michael and Patrick, daughter-in-law Peggy, as well as grandchildren Noelle, Oscar and Henry. Sherman is also survived by step-children Jane (Robert) and Robert (Kati), as well as Michael, Alison and Samantha (Steve). He was beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Sherman will be deeply missed by his wife Jean. They spent ten happy years together, residing at Scarlett Heights Retirement Residence. They called their years together, “Heaven on Earth.” Special appreciation is extended to the caring staff at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre, CCAC, as well as the doctors, nursing staff and volunteers at the Dorothy Ley Hospice for the special care he received in his final months. A memorial service to celebrate Sherman’s life will take place at Scarlett Heights Retirement Residence on August 28th from 1:00 p.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice.
