STEPHANIE McGEE (nee MURPHY) In her 90th year, Stephanie passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Monday, September 19, 2016. Born in County Kildare, Ireland, Stephanie was a pioneer in nursing education, who worked at several major hospitals in Toronto and area. Beloved wife of the late William V. McGee (2008). Predeceased by her sisters May, Josie and Kathleen and brother Michael, she will be missed by her nephews and nieces and extended family, particularly her very close friend, Liam who devoted so much of his time to Stephanie. Our “tiny Irish dynamo” is remembered fondly for the many stories she shared about her time in nursing, her eye for antique market deals, her love of Irish music and her speedwalking pace. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant Street at Blairholm Avenue, Burlington, on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 580 Old York Road, Burlington.
