Sverre ALVESTAD
May 26, 1922 – March 1, 2017
On March 1, 2017 Sverre Margido Dreier Alvestad, a distinguished WWII Royal Norwegian Navy Veteran fought his last battle and joined his late beloved wife Thelma. He leaves behind his daughters Carol and family, Karen (Tony), granddaughters Gabrielle (Nick) and Dominique, brothers and sister in Norway and many nieces and nephews. Also joins dear late brothers Inge, Thor, Einar and parents. Forever in our hearts and thoughts. Visitation to be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville). Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Glen Oaks Chapel.
