SYLVIA MAY LEE BOIVIN We are saddened to announce that Sylvia passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Sylvia was a remarkable woman. With her long illness it’s easy to forget her many achievements in education, both as a student and as a teacher (both formally and informally) and in her life. She saw much of the world, raised three successful daughters and was always kind and generous. She was equally at home mastering the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, as she was behind a piano. She was incredibly loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard (Dick) Boivin; daughters, Lee Nehring of Noumea, New Caledonia, Michelle Boivin of Mississauga, Ontario and Nettie Boivin of Astana, Kazakhstan; and grandchildren Jesse Sinclair of Calgary, Alberta and Thai Higashihara of Astana, Kazakhstan.
