SYLVIA MAY MATTHEWS (nee RILEY) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles “Ridge” Riley (1993). Loving mother to her three sons Christopher (Nadine), Graham (Sheila) and Jason (Jennifer). Dearly loved Nana of Shane, Clayton (Logan), Straun, Kristy, Courtney and Austin, as well as Great-Nana of Wesley. Sylvia will also be sadly missed by her sisters in England, Betty and Pauline. Predeceased by brothers Ken and Raymond. Sylvia is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and Harvey Matthews. Friends and family may call at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073), on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Sylvia will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation for one hour prior.
