THOMAS ALFRED (“TA”) BROWN 1916 – 2016 Passed away peacefully on July 10, 2016 after an incredibly long life with numerous milestones achieved . TA was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy, brothers Fred and Doug and sister Marjorie. He spent 27 wonderful years with partner Marlene Kent, together enjoying travel, skiing, tennis, golf, cottaging and staying young while spending many winters in Florida. As he finally slowed down Marlene was a rock by his side right to the end. He loved to share memories about growing up at Maple Beach in Beaverton, piloting during the ensuing terrible war, his rise to the top of Elizabeth Arden Canada, paddling to the “first” cottage on Eagle Lake in Haliburton, working to help build Craigleith Ski Club and finally his favorite place on earth, “The Swamp” aka “Super Shack”, his private sanctuary! He will be missed by four sons, their families, including eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. A celebration of life with friends and family will be held on Tuesday August 9th from 2-4 p.m. at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club, 995 Myrtle Rd. West, Ashburn, ON. www.royalashburngolfclub.com
