THOMAS JAMES CARTER Passed away peacefully in his sleep, August 28, 2016, in his 85th year. Predeceased by his wife of more than 50 years Lillian (nee Wilton). He will be deeply missed by his children Anne, Carol Lynn, James and Kirsten and his grandchildren Victoria, Thomas, William, Dillon, Adam, Andrew, Rachael and Olivia. Tom’s kind and thoughtful nature endeared him to his family, friends and coworkers. Retiring after 30 plus years at Noranda in 1995, he enjoyed travel, tennis and spending time with family. As a civic-minded individual he was involved with the Bronte Tennis Club, Church of the Epiphany, singing with the Entertainers and canvassing for the Cancer Society each spring. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 13th at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 141 Bronte Road, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tom’s memory to the Parkinson Society Canada.
