POLLITT, Vera Edith (nee Haynes) Passed away peacefully in her 100th year on July 14, 2017 at Trillium Mississauga Hospital. Loving wife and best friend of Stanley (married 76 plus years); loved and greatly missed by sons Jack (Ruth) and Jim (Janis); grandchildren Susan and Jon; great-grandchildren Mackenziey and Jasmine; niece Joan and family. Predeceased by her parents Fernley and Edith Haynes; brother Jack (Audrey). Vera worked for many years in the family business, Pollitt’s Dry Goods. She enjoyed golfing, square dancing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She liked travelling, especially to Florida and Nova Scotia. She was an active member of the United Church.
