BROWN, Violet – April 1, 1918 to May 14, 2017 On May 14, 2017 at her home in Toronto in her 100th year. A longtime resident of Kitchener, she was predeceased by her parents Max and Bertha, husband Sholom, brothers Burke, Sidney, and Richard and son Alan. Dear mother of Sharon and Janice, mother-in-law of Brian Ravok and Wendy Posluns, loving Bubbie to Matthew and Alysha, Evan and Rose and Leah, sister-in-law of Mary, family matriarch and cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Thanks to caregivers Judy and Tess and to the Geriatric and Palliative care teams at Sinai Health System. Born in Woodstock, Violet was a prominent member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Jewish community having served as the president of both the local Sisterhood and Hadassah chapters. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Benjamins Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. West, Toronto.
